Overview
Vaccines, eighteen bucks, no appointment.
Most Tucson clinics charge $45–$80 per vaccine, and almost all of them bundle a mandatory $65 office visit fee onto walk-in vaccine appointments. The result: a three-shot puppy visit can run $250+ before you've left the building. We don't do that. Every core and lifestyle vaccine we offer is $18, flat, and walk-in vaccine visits don't carry an exam fee.
We can keep the price low because vaccine visits are quick — a tech weighs your pet, our vet does a brief check-in (heart, lungs, temperature, eyes, ears), administers the shots, and you're back out the door. No appointment, no long waiting room sit, no upsells.
If your pet hasn't been seen by us in over a year, or if you're new to the clinic, we may recommend a full wellness exam first ($35) so we have a baseline on file. That's a one-time thing — annual vaccine boosters after that are walk-in pricing.
Pricing
Eighteen dollars, any shot.
Every vaccine is the same flat price — pick the ones your pet actually needs.
First-time clients: a one-time $35 wellness exam may be required to establish care. After that, all vaccine boosters are walk-in pricing.
What each one is for
What your pet actually needs protection from.
Same vaccines a specialty clinic uses — we just price them honestly.
DA2PP (dogs)
Core combo: distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, parvovirus.
LEPTO (dogs)
Worth considering for hikers, swimmers, and farm-adjacent dogs.
Bordetella (dogs)
Kennel cough. Required by most boarders, groomers, and daycares.
Rabies (1-year & 3-year)
Required by Pima County law. We stock both options — your call.
FVRCP (cats)
Core feline combo: rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia.
FeLV (cats)
Feline leukemia. Recommended for outdoor cats and multi-cat households.
How it works
A quick stop, start to finish.
No appointment, no fasting, no prep. Just walk in any open hour.
Minute 1
Walk in & sign up
Front desk takes your name and pulls or creates your pet's record. If your pet is new to us, we'll grab their vaccine history from the previous vet if you have it.
Minutes 2–5
Quick check-in with the vet
A brief once-over — heart, lungs, temperature, eyes, ears. This is included, not a separate exam fee, on walk-in vaccine visits.
Minutes 6–10
Vaccines administered
A tech administers the shots your pet needs. Most pets barely notice — a treat, a quick injection, and done.
Minutes 11–15
Checkout & records
We hand you a printed vaccine record, sync it to your owner portal, and you're out the door.
FAQ
Common questions, straight answers.
If you'd rather just talk to a human, give us a call.
Do I really not need an appointment?
Correct — walk in any time we're open and we'll fit you in. We hold capacity throughout the day specifically for walk-in vaccine visits. Saturday mornings tend to be the busiest time, so weekdays are usually a faster turnaround.
Which vaccines does my pet actually need?
Core vaccines (rabies, plus DHPP for dogs or FVRCP for cats) are recommended for every pet. Lifestyle vaccines — bordetella, feline leukemia, leptospirosis — depend on what your pet does. A house cat with no outdoor exposure has different needs than a dog who boards twice a year. When you walk in, the vet will ask a few quick questions and recommend a short list based on your pet's actual life.
Why is there a $35 exam fee for new clients?
If you're new to the clinic and your pet hasn't been seen by our team, we want a baseline — heart, lungs, weight, dental, joints, everything — on file so we know what "normal" looks like for them. That's a one-time exam at first visit. After that, every annual booster visit is walk-in pricing with no exam fee.
Can I get just rabies for a license or boarding requirement?
Absolutely. Walk in, tell us "rabies only," and you're in and out for $18. We'll print and stamp the certificate the licensing office or boarder needs. No upsell.
Do you do 3-year rabies?
Yes. Same price as the 1-year ($18). Eligibility depends on your pet's vaccine history — most adult pets with documented prior rabies vaccinations qualify. Bring records if you have them.
My pet is overdue. Do we have to start over?
For most adult pets, no — a single booster restores immunity. The exception is parvo/distemper in dogs and panleukopenia in cats: if it's been more than 18 months since the last shot, the vet may recommend a two-shot series. We'll tell you exactly what's needed before any shots are given.
What to expect after
Mild and brief, in almost every case.
Most pets bounce back the same day. A few common, mild reactions — and a short list of when to call us.
First 24 hours
A bit sleepy
Mild lethargy is normal. Your pet may want extra rest, eat slightly less, and skip the evening zoomies. Offer a quiet space and a normal meal.
Days 1–2
Soreness at the injection site
A small, tender bump at the shot site is common. It should be gone within 48 hours. Some pets are mildly sore — gentle handling helps.
Call us right away
Anything more than that
Facial swelling, hives, persistent vomiting, or weakness lasting more than a day are rare but worth a call. Reach us at the main line; if we're closed, head to an emergency hospital.
Ready when you are
Walk in or book ahead.
Either way, we're excited to meet your furry family. We'll walk you through what's recommended and what it costs before doing anything.
